Hi guys and gals . Well I’ve made some progress. I’ve laid some track and got it operational. DCC has been quite a learning curve but pleased I’ve mastered it. I haven’t quite finalised layout and keep changing it! . The incline is 4% so quite steep but my plan is to raise it then build an extension round 3rd wall with a lift out bridge section .QUESTIONS . Have just bought a 2nd hand Jinty from Rails in mint condition but it runs a little hesitantly not necessarily over pointwork . Think it is 2024 .does it need oiling or just running in or possibly wheels cleaned ?2nd QUESTION relates to incline .most locos cope but little jinty struggles a bit with 2+ coaches .does the club think 4% too steep .Mainline diesel loco is fine with 4 coaches .does club think 4% too steep steep generally ?happy modelling team!
