COULD I HAVE DONE ANY BETTER? - Having "retired" the scratch building, it has prompted me to look back to where it all began. Before "embarking" on the scratch building route, I constructed many card kits (Metcalfe) to get an idea as to how card kits were put together, where they got their robustness, how they were created from a "flat" sheet of card etc etc. Looking at them now, and after having spent seven years creating my own models, I feel that I could have done more with the Metcalfe kits! There were those kits that would have benefitted from the fitting of LED’s, one being this Metcalfe garage. I did "personalise" it by fitting the "MG" signs, by fitting a scratch built car ramp and then by fitting three Oxford model MG’s (two in the showroom and one on the lift in the garage). It would really benefit from the fitting of LED’s - one in the garage and one in the showroom! Not so sure this can be done at this stage as all my models are constructed using UHU and are not really suited to "dismantling"! 🙈
