The final lots of books have been listed on eBay tonight and there’s a bit of something for everyone. We had fantastic success with the first lord, raising over £400! I’d like to thank all of you who picked up books and contributed to two very good causes. We gave £200 to the young girl who is going through the bone cancer in her knee, as she was heading for more Chemotherapy from last Monday. We wanted to make sure that she had something with her if she wanted to buy bits and pieces whilst in hospital. Apart from that, we’ve told her that it’s completely up to her what it is spent on. The second donation will be going to the SWAN charity at Blackpool hospital who look after the bereaved families of people who’ve sadly passed away in hospital. Again, it’s small things that allow the staff to make the suite a more relaxed and welcoming place in their time of need. Thanks to you all again and happy bidding!!
