So recently I bought you up to date for what was achieved last year but what about 2026. The “mess” was finally finished back in February and with a couple of minor issues like trains hitting each other and some engines disliking the new line it went well. At least I can now get in to clean the tracks which was after all the main reason for it all anyway. Last year we were talking about the cleaning and various opinions surface from member on here. I tried the majority but in the end I found that using a standard hand wipe that you get from say Halfords work really well. Now when I want a running session, I go over the rails with a wipe and it’s amazing how much crap comes off and the engines run really well and certainly a lot cheaper than track cleaning fluid etc – Happy Days. 😊 So I also build a new kit and I think that it has come out really well, it’s the P0286 Metcalfe Ramshackle Workshop kit (sorry Justin) but it fitted really well in both dimensions and looks I think. I also added a little lighting to one level only. I also added a cobbled base in the hope that it represents the old end of the village but I am not convinced as the cobbles are all the same shape and size, saying that, from the viewing area, you can’t see it that much anyway.   The village is now finished I think, I will add little bits but I wont mess it around anymore. Opinions welcome 🤔😟
