Thought this might be of interest. Bought some red and green lights and discovered by accident they only work in one ‘direction’ with a DC current. I’m guessing they have a diode in them but I’m no expert. So wired them up against the buffers and now can see if a siding is ‘live’ and in which direction the current is going. It was a very frustrating job to get the wires to ‘attach’ to the rails using solder and any tips how to do it properly would be appreciated
