Hello SMS and RM, I'd like to introduce myself, now that the kids are beginning to return! Only I'm such an expert on computers, or the newer type mobile phones, that I need the kids or grandkids to start me off in the right direction and that has been in very short supply over the past couple of years! I'm ColinG and have a four-track 00 gauge tail chaser going round the spare bedroom. It has a four platform station plus two goods lines, as well as a smaller passing track which can be used as a programming track on one side. On the opposite side of the room there are five tracks, one of which takes you down ramps either side to a nine-track travelator set under the station areas. I set it up to be able to move trains from the travelator to any of the tracks in any direction! There is also a drop-down corner section to facilitate easier access into working areas. I started having ideas, and collecting, in my twenties but had to wait till I retired to progress beyond the 8 x 4 foot train board! Kids had left home and I was granted the use of the spare room and designed everything from scratch! I've hopefully sent a couple of pictures of a small section showing the allotments at the side of the canal! Please note the SMS shed, greenhouse and cold frames. On the allotment there is also a brown rabbit eating my lettuce! Now one of my grandsons has a rabbit called Bongi and he's brown - need I say more! Of course, he denies that it is Bongi but I'm sure it is. Unfortunately, the grandkids are not interested in anything other than what goes on in computer land, or football and basket ball, so it's a struggle going beyond ten minutes to keep them entertained! Spent a lot of time fitting DCC into the locos as well as lights as most are pretty old! Lights and passengers into carriages as well as lights, furniture and people into houses and buildings. Vehicles that I've owned have also got the correct number plates on them! So thanks for all the chat, pics and info - hopefully I'll get better as time goes on! Stay safe and let's hope we get nearer to normality, as we knew it, in the very near future! All the best to you all! ColinG
