Big day today in Loudmouth as the first train arrives from Lynton on the new extension. Some of the reception committee were in the Anchor early doors and struggle to make it to the platform. The band played on , although the flautist only got as far as the steps. The parish council were hoping to buy the bandstand from SMS but it’s not ready yet. Also the engineer forgot to put in a run round loop so two passing steamrollers had to be pursuaded to turn the engine round so it could head back to Barnstaple. Now the real work begins, detailing and weathering!
