My new-to-me Class 24 arrived this morning, several days earlier than I had been expecting it. It's in as-new condition and was an absolute bargain. I have run it in as per the brand new, never opened manual and its first loaded run was to haul a day excursion to Chester that took place on 25th September 1973. On the return leg I proposed to Frances, and have been a happy man ever since! (Class 24's also ran on non-proposal runs as well)
