After researching into the class, cause I fancied one, it turned out that the Class 58 was a regular for a number of years on the Fawley to Tavistock tanks. Whilst with Mainline and EWS the class 58 regularly appeared on the fuel and oil movements from Fawley to Tavistock in Devon from the late 90s to around 2002. Perfect for my era, so, I saw one on ebay, nicely weathered and here it is safe and sound after being dcc fitted.
