Unrelated to anything, I was doing some research and came across these facts: “At the creation of BR (and end of the big four) in 1948 BR suddenly became responsible for 54,547 coaches, 683,285 wagons and 20,130 steam locos…”. Those numbers just blew me away so I thought I would share.
