Good evening folks. This post does have a connection to my model railway layout, but please, read on to find out why. Today, I collected my mums ashes from the funeral directors. I've already spread some of them in the flower beds in the back garden, and in the window boxes in the driveway, and in the greenhouse, as that's where dads ashes are. In addition, tomorrow, I'll spread some up at my grans grave, at Bowhill Cemetery, Cardenden, as, again, some of dads are up there. Most of the remaining ashes will be taken to my Auntie Kathleens, in Stepps, to be spread there. My mum searched, asked around Stepps, in 2017, and eventually found her missing family, and as mum originally came from Lanarkshire, it feels right to take her back where she came from originally. I'll also be popping into ward one at Glenrothes Hospital, where mum spent her last days. A post funeral collection has raised £94.22 for the ward, and I'll be taking the money into them tomorrow. But, I'm also going to be doing something at the street scene on Clydebridge station tomorrow. I'm going to remove a small bit of the ground cover, apply some PVA glue, and then put down a sprinkling of mums ashes on my layout. Mum was very supportive of me having a layout, and she enjoyed her visits to the Glenrothes Model Railway Show, and Cupar Model Railway Show. So, I feel it's right that mum should be on the layout as well, and I'll mention this in a future video from the layout, as well as some instagram photos.
