Progress on my complete conversion and refinish of a metcalfe kit. Building C almost complete. The walls recovered in my own white render finish and relief lintels and window sills added. I made two arches each has 4 pieces that make them up and painted with Vallejo. Filled in under the arch passageway to make one continuous wall which the kit doesn't do but I think looks better this way. All the quoins have taken an age to make from scratch and the building needs many of them, but making them in relief has certainly added some depth to the building so worth it I think and they have hidden the exposed edges which are a problem with metcalfe kits, plus they cost hardly anything to make other than time. Added my own scratch made gutters which I make in the usual way. It has taken me way more time to get to this stage than I would have thought, but other than the windows themselves and the basic shell, I have remade everything else so not really any faster than I would be scratch building it. I do like the style of this building though and it was a present so it's nice to make use of it.
