Thought I would share some of the summer projects I have completed over the past 4 months. First project - Network Rail I first conceived this project 3 years ago when the amount of network rail stuff out there was limited and I suppose as in all railway modelling some company will come up with a model at some time. Nonetheless I decided to go ahead with the project, even though I had already bought a "banana" set and a series of other MK1/Mk2 carriages. The first conversion was a Class 101 - original hornby model from the 60's - I converted this to Iris 2. Also created a version of 977993 (Mk3 Pantograph using a blue/grey TGS) and 975081 (MK1 pantograph using a GWR Restaurant car originally in cream and brown). I say versions because I used artistic license. Not feeling totally confident in building a complete roof section - I adapted a class 92 body I had bought on ebay and took off the bits I needed. Then finished off the coach interiors using videos from Network rail to try and simulate what the interior looked like in not only these coaches but several others and lights added just for good measure. Also converted two class 43's so plenty of stock now
